Asahi Super Dry: Seek What is Unique
The Challenge
Asahi Super Dry’s Seek What Is Unique campaign called for an experience as brave as the brand itself. The brief was to take over KOKO in London and turn the venue into a slice of modern Tokyo, bringing to life their latest advert not just as a themed night, but as a journey that felt unexpected, premium and unmistakably Asahi. With multiple spaces to transform, and a bold new creative platform to honour, the challenge was to design and deliver a seamless, story-led experience that surprised guests at every turn.
The Solution
We reimagined Café KOKO as a Tokyo backstreet discovery, with guests entering through a Japanese corner shop where they collected branded bottle openers ready for on-the-spot personalisation, Asahi in hand.
Inside, the campaign’s silver puffer fish became the hero: echoed in silver-spiked costumes and helmets, neon-soaked photobooth sets, a Tokyo street scene, a mini “tattoo” etching studio for metal engraving of bottle opener keepsakes, and an airbrush bar for custom hats and caps.
The journey then flowed into a Bompas & Parr private dining experience, before culminating in a penthouse transformed into an underwater world – LED screens, flowing water visuals and a gravity-defying puffer fish making its final appearance to close the narrative loop.
From hundreds of bespoke props, complex tech integration, and tightly choreographed transitions, Realise designed, built and produced every touchpoint end-to-end.
The Impact
The result was a fully immersive brand world that turned KOKO into Asahi’s boldest physical expression of Seek What Is Unique to date. Guests didn’t just attend an event; they moved through a connected story that invited play, self-expression and discovery at every stage.
The activation strengthened Asahi’s association with contemporary Japanese culture in London, generated rich social content and live word-of-mouth, and proved what’s possible when brand, venue and partners all lean into a singular, distinctive idea and trust it all the way through to execution.
