Disney: Wonder of Friendship
The Challenge
To celebrate the brands centenary, we were challenged to create an immersive pop-up, celebrating the Wonder of Friendship and spanning all of the classics – from Alice in Wonderland to Lilo & Stitch, The Lion King to Mickey & Friends – this was Disney like you’ve never seen before!
The Solution
We oversaw the design, fabrication, and installation of this immersive Disney experience from concept to completion. Distinct zones were created to celebrate some of Disney’s most iconic characters, beginning with a vibrant neon entrance where guests checked in via an RFID system that tracked and provided feedback on their unique ‘friendship journey’.
The adventure began beneath giant flowers that offered both visual grandeur and subtle olfactory cues, immediately suspending visitors’ sense of scale and reality. This led to a disorienting yet enchanting passage through a mist-filled maze and into a mind-bending mirrored infinity room, recreating Alice’s magical descent into Wonderland.
Next, guests followed a corridor of animated Lilo & Stitch Polaroids, guiding them to a projection-mapped surf simulator where they could test their balance on the waves. Immersive technology elevated the experience in The Lion King zone, with transparent LED screens, Snapchat AR features, and dynamic scenic design transporting visitors to a lush jungle world. Here, three interactive swings allowed friends to collaborate by triggering individual segments of iconic Lion King songs, combining to unlock the full musical experience.
The journey concluded in the Mickey & Friends room, where edge-lit acrylic characters activated gesture-responsive visuals on two towering LED walls. Guests interacted with Snapchat AR filters designed to seamlessly integrate with the environment, making the experience not only captivating to the eye but also optimized for sharing through the lens of a smartphone.

Over 40,000 guests wowed in 40 days across 4 countries, reaching over 1.4 billion people.
